This gorgeous little Blue Wren is a tad busy searching for bookworms. The idea for this piece popped into my head when I was sitting by the window reading and one of these gorgeously sassy little birds came down for a look. I hardly dared to breathe he was so close and just like that he was gone again in a flurry of wings. I promptly put my book down and picked up my paintbrush!
 
 
 
Bookworms is 20.3cm x 25.4cm on 300gsm cold pressed watercolour paper. Painted using Shminke Horodam finest Pure Pigments this piece is lightfast and ready to frame, frames from places such as Kmart etc are perfect. An heirloom piece that will last many, many years.
